Petition to Council Member Abdi Warsame and Minneapolis Public Works

Improve Pedestrian Safety in Cedar East

High speed vehicles and motorists ignoring stop signs pose a serious threat to the safety of pedestrians and cyclists in our neighborhood. Many people have been hit or nearly hit by vehicles at several intersections within our high density area.

We need more painted crosswalks, signage, lighted signals and other traffic calming measures to enhance safety for children, students, residents and their pets in our neighborhood.

We, the undersigned, call on the City of Minneapolis to install additional pedestrian safety devices in areas of Cedar East indicated on the attached map.
