TONIGHT | Neighborhood Relations Committee
Join us TONIGHT at Brian Coyle Community Room at 6pm for our monthly Neighborhood Relations Committee meeting. This committee plans and implements neighborhood events like the West Bank Block Party. We'll have a special guest from the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition to present on the proposed plans for an Open Streets in the West Bank this year.
Jan. 27th | West Bank Works!
Join us Wednesday, Jan. 27th for a community discussion about work and wages from 6pm-8pm at the Mixed Blood Theatre. With presentations by 15 NOW, it will be a great opportunity for residents to learn about the movement to create a $15 minimum wage in Minneapolis and join the discussion. We want to hear from you! What would a $15 minimum wage mean for you, your family, your future? Performances by TEEN VOICE FREE food and refreshments!
Jan. 28th | Samatar Crossing- 5th Street Reconnection Open House
There is a new exit ramp from westbound I-94 to 7th Street South is currently being constructed. The existing 5th Street Ramp will be re-purposed as “Samatar Crossing”—a local connection between downtown and Cedar-Riverside. Join us at the Brian Coyle Center Community Room to provide your input on this important project. So far, we've heard concerns about the extra traffic that may result if cars are allowed on the Crossing.
Jan. 30th | Youth Resources and Opportunity Fair
This event is targeted to youth ages 14-25! Come meet with local employers, and get info about educational resources, like FAFSA, Hennepin County Library, and Colleges! Possible on the spot hiring opportunities. Step-Up Apllications will be available and there will be resume resources!
